The Doctrinal Statement of Faith for Crossroads Church of Littleton, New Hampshire.
Authored by the Titus-men of the church.

Our church has adopted the following doctrinal statement of faith. It is intended to summarize, but not comprehensively state, the foundational doctrinal tenants of our faith emphasized at our church. Agreement with all its statements is neither required nor expected of those seeking the Lord Jesus Christ or choosing to worship with us. We believe that the Christian faith is a progressive, individually unique process in which we are all at different points. Wherever you are in this process, you are welcome to worship and fellowship with us.

We Believe
The Bible

In the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe the Bible is the written Word of God and is therefore, without error and infallible in their original manuscripts as they were written by holy men of God moved by the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

(Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We Believe
Triune God

In the Triune God, one God, unchanging, eternally existing in three co-equal Persons and revealing Himself to us in three distinct entities: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4-6)

We Believe
Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ to be fully God, who, being conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, became fully man. We believe He lived a sinless life and provided for the atonement of our sins through the shedding of His blood and substitutionary death on the cross. We believe in His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension where He now rules at the right hand of His Father and ever lives to make intercession for us.

(John 1:1-3, 14; Matthew 1:18-25; Acts 1:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:1-5; Philippians 2:5-11; 1 John 2:1)

We Believe
Holy Spirit

In the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Triune God, who forever seals, indwells, and empowers every believer the moment they place their faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Bible and that according to His will He distributes these gifts to each believer for the benefit of the body. We believe that these gifts are valid for today if they are exercised within scriptural guidelines.

(John 14:16-17, 16:13-15; Acts 2:38; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Ephesians 1:13)

We Believe
Man

All things were created by God and are designed to bring Him glory. We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin the creation fell with man inheriting a sinful nature, resulting in not only physical death but also spiritual death. We believe every sinful man is alienated from God and falls short of the glory of God in thought, word, and deed, and of himself is utterly unable to remedy his lost, sinful condition.

(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:10-23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 4:17-19)

We Believe
Salvation

Salvation is by God's grace through personal faith in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ alone, not by self works, and that all who place their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, becoming children of God and joint-heirs with Christ.

(John 1:12, 3:3-8, 15-17; Romans 8:14-17; Ephesians 2:8-9)

We Believe
One True Church

In the one true church as the Body of Christ, composed exclusively of all who have been born again by placing their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe as members of this one Body, we are united by the Holy Spirit to one another and to Christ, who is the Head of the Body-His church. We believe that God desires His children to be holy, as He is holy, conformed into the image of Jesus.

(1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:22-23; Romans 8:28-29, 1 Thessalonians 4:3,7-8; 1 Peter 1:13-16)

We Believe
Eternal Security

That every true child of God is an heir of eternal life through Jesus. Being justified by faith, sanctified by God, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, he/she cannot lose their salvation. However, a Christian can through sin, lose their fellowship, joy, power, testimony, and final reward, and also incur the Father’s chastisement. Obedience to the Commandments of the Lord Jesus is a validation of this blessed assurance.

(John 10:28-29; Hebrews 12:5-11; 1 Cor. 11:30-32; John 5:24)

We Believe
Second Coming

That God has promised the world that Jesus is coming again at a time not revealed to mankind, to both gather His Church unto Himself for all eternity and to judge the world according to the Eternal Law of God.

(Zechariah 14:3-4; Acts 1:11-12; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Hebrews 9:28; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:4-6)

We Believe
Satan

That Satan was created by God as the most powerful and mightiest angel who fell due to self-pride, wanting to be God himself, and is God’s enemy and our adversary and who along with his spiritual host of wickedness are constantly looking to destroy our testimony and faith.

(Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-15; Ephesians 2:1-3, 6:11-12; 1 Peter 5:8)

We Believe
Love

That love is more important than the most spectacular gifts, and without love, all exercise of spiritual gifts is entirely worthless.

(Romans 13:8-10; 1 Corinthians 13)
